Free arbitrage calculator
Add up 1 divided by each price. If the total is under 1 (under 100%) the prices make an arbitrage, and staking each outcome in proportion to 1 / price returns the same amount whichever one wins. Arbs carry real risks: prices move, bets are voided and stakes are limited. Enter your prices below.

An arb: the prices add up to a 98.12% book, so these stakes return +$1.91 (1.91% of $100.00) whichever outcome wins, if every bet stands at these prices.

The live version
The live arbitrage finder scans the bookmakers and lists each arb with its stakes, the profit at current prices and links to both bookmakers.
Worked example. 2.10 and 1.98 make a 98.12% book. $100 splits $48.53 and $51.47, and either outcome returns $101.91: +$1.91, or 1.91% of the stake, at those prices. Two prices of 1.90 make a 105.26% book, which is not an arb: equal-return stakes lose $5.00.
What it assumes. That every bet is placed at the price you entered and every bet stands. Real arbs carry real risks: a price can move before your second bet, a bookmaker can void or cancel a bet (a palp, a pricing error, can be cancelled while the other side stands), and stakes or accounts can be limited. Any of these can turn an arb into a loss.

It is a set of bets on every outcome of one event, at different bookmakers, where the prices are high enough that the total return is above the total staked. It exists when bookmakers disagree about the chances.
Yes. The result is only fixed at the prices you actually get. Odds can move between your bets, a bookmaker can void a bet, and stakes or accounts can be limited. Any of these can turn an arb into a loss.
Commission is charged on exchange winnings, so it shortens that outcome's price. A 2.10 back at 5% commission pays like about 2.05. Enter the commission in the field beside that price and the calculator deducts it.
No. This page does the stake arithmetic for prices you type. The arbitrage finder is a separate members' tool that scans bookmakers for you, with a 7-day free trial.
